The photographer is in the canteen between 57½ and 59 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port and forward from the passage over the counter on which there are cakes, meat pies and confectionery. On the canteen shelves are cigarettes, hair grooming items, pharmaceuticals, toothpastes, soaps, stationery, tins of soup, tins of fruit, tins of baked beans, beverages, sandwich spreads, shoe and clothes brushes and shoe polish.
