A letter rack and a notice board are against the bulkheadon the right and on the notice board is a poster requesting entries for the Tartar's handicraft competition. Against the far bulkhead is the "Gronk's board". In naval parlance a gronk is a lady of less than perfect countenance and physique and photographs of past acquaintances are displayed on the Gronk's board.
