The photographer is in the petty officer's mess between 73 and 78 stations on 2 deck looking to port from the starboard side at 77¼ station showing a bar on the left with a settee bench against the aft bulkhead. Above the bench is a noticeboard with a what's on poster, a pin-up calendar and a K.P. Lau calendar for January and February 1974 on it. A coffee table, three folding armchairs, two greatcoat cupboards and a cushioned beer firkin are in the centre and on the right. A vertical format negative.
