The photographer is in the chief petty officer's mess between 67 and 73 stations on 2 deck looking to starboard and slightly aft from 70½ station to port of the centreline showing a settee bench with a framed painting of a countryside scene above it against the starboard bulkhead. A coffee table is in front of the settee. A cushioned seat is round one of the centreline supporting pillars on the right and a coffee table is next to it. Against the aft bulkhead is an air conditioning unit and a hinged table with an electric kettle and wire cutlery and crockery racks on it.
