The photographer is in the crew's mess between 56 and 59 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft showing two triple tier bunk units, two kit lockers, a folding table and three tubular steel chairs. Against the aft bulkhead are two small lockers, a bookshelf, a clock reading 09.33 and two January and February 1974 calendars, one from K.P. Lau tailors and laundrymen from Hong Kong and one from the Dragon Gate Chinese restaurant in Southampton.
