On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the crew's mess between 41 and 42½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to port from 42 station showing kit lockers numbered 17 to 19 with suitcase racks above them, three other lockers, an electric iron and a folded table against the forward bulkhead. One of the suitcases is named K.R. Dyas and has Blackpool written on the end of it. A vertical format negative.
