The photographer is in the junior rate's mess between 41 and 45 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking to port from the starboard side at 44½ station showing a settee bench and a clock reading 2.13 against the aft bulkhead. A triple tier bunk unit, kit lockers, mess lockers and a letter rack are on the right. A small circular table and a waste bin are in the centre. On the port side of the centreline is the door to the C.C.R. (Tx) room (communications control room (transmitting)).
