On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the sick bay between 42½ and 44 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to port from the starboard side showing the operating table in the foreground. Equipment and poisons cupboards, an LEC refrigerator, a resuscitation unit and an armchair are against the forward bulkhead. Medical intruments are laid out on the top of the equipment cupboard. Two hanging cots are behind a curtain on the port side of the sick bay. A vertical format negative.
