On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the auxiliary machinery compartment between 41 and 45 stations on 4 deck looking forward and slightly to port from 42½ station on the centreline showing a nest of drawers, an automatic emergency lantern, a telephone handset and control box and two small starter panels against the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
