On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the electrical workshop between 46 and 47 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking forward and to starboard from the doorway showing a work bench fitted with a Record 84 and a Record 83 vices. A cupboard, open racks, wire fronted pigeon holes and drawers are under the bench. Two cupboards, a cleansing locker and test sockets are above the bench against the forward bulkhead. Wandering leads, a hank of rope and an portable switch socket board are in the starboard forward corner. A vertical format negative.
