On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the electrical workshop between 46 and 47 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking aft and to starboard from the doorway showing a bench unit with a drawer, a cupboard and a card index filing cabinet below against the aft bulkhead. On top of the bench are two electrical units and a large number of bulldog clips are hanging beyond them. A large ventilation trunking is in the foreground and under the deckhead.
