The photographer is in the quartermaster's lobby between 65 and 66½ stations to port of the centre line on 1 deck looking aft and slightly to starboard showing a fire hose in the foreground and a ventilation fan and trunking is against the starboard bulkhead. In the starboard aft corner is the quartermaster's desk with a dial telephone on it. An automatic emergency lantern is alongside the door in the aft bulkhead.
