On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit. The photographer is in the provision issue room between 38½ and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard and aft from the doorway showing steel storage shelves, a bench and a Lec refrigerator against the aft bulkhead. Various products are stored on the shelves including a bag of chocolate mix, jars of HP Epicure piccalilli, a carton of garibaldi biscuits, a tin of Colman's mustard, a jar of Robertson's mincemeat and bottles of HP sauce.
