The photographer is looking forward and down from 67 station on the port side of 1 deck showing the unique Fran Kee protective decking and a close detail of the deck by the quartermaster's lobby door at 66½ station. The ship is berthed port side to the jetty. In the Portsmouth Dockyard photographer's list this negative is said to be taken on the "Fran Kee" deck which is the timber clad waist of the ship. A colour negative.
