The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 16 and 28 stations on 3 deck looking forward and to port from the starboard side at 21 station showing the hand winch and the hatch of the hull outfit 19 (sonar type 170) in the foreground. A number of boxes are on the hatch cover including a cover for a test set. The standard electronic cabinets F, G, K and L are against the port side of the ship. A fuse panel, a desk with a telephone handset, a cupboard and a cabinet for electronic first aid units are against the forward bulkhead.
