The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 16 and 28 stations on 3 deck looking aft and to starboard from 17 station showing the scuttle down to the TAS store in the left foreground. On the right is the hatch cover to hull outfit 19 (sonar type 170) and an oscilloscope and a cover for test set are sitting on it. Next to the hatch is the hand winch for hoisting and lowering the sonar dome. Against the ship's side are a telephone handset, an A/S type 162 sonar receiver/amplifier and sonar cabinets 5, 6 and 7. A vertical format negative.
