The photographer is in the sonar control room between 41 and 43 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to port and forward from the starboard aft corner showing the senior man's chair on a raised platform in the centre of the room. In the right foreground are the chairs for the depth and range consoles. On the left are the chairs for R, S and T consoles. Against the inboard bulkhead are the pitometer log speed and distance register, a range and training panel, a telephone handset, a key cabinet, two remote control boxes, a Plessey Sippican unit, a bookshelf and an asdic console. Against the forward bulkhead are a power supply unit, the main starter and a playback unit over a tape storage cupboard.
