An extemporized swimming pool on board the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Montcalm (1921)
An extemporized swimming pool on board the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Montcalm (1921) while at sea. The temporary pool is a small rectangular wooden structure lined with canvas and fill ed with seawater from the ship's firemain system. The pool and the adjoining deck are crowded and most of the passengers are wearing baggy woollen swimsuits. The photographer is looking down and outboard from a vantage point by the mast.
