A waxed calotype paper negative. A view looking north-west from the walled garden of the Carmelite Monastery of St Tereza (St Theresa), Cospicua, towards the Church of our Lady of Victories (now Senglea Basilica) in Senglea. In the middle distance on the right are the wooden sheer legs at Macina (Sheer Bastion) on the Senglea side of Dockyard Creek. Alongside the quay is a starboard broadside view of an unidentified brig.
