Captain Sir Edward Pellew's 'Nymphe' boards and takes the 'Cleopatra', 18 June 1793
This drawing is uninscribed. However compositional similarities to PAD8717 suggest that it shows Pellew's capture of the 'Cleopatra' in the first single-ship duel of the French Revolutionary War. The loss of the mizzen mast on the right supports this. See also PAD8718 and the print to which that relates.
