A view of the ships near Custom House, Dublin.
A salted paper print. A view towards the south west corner of the Custom House, Dublin, from the corner of Burgh Quay and George's Quay on the opposite bank of the River Liffey. A brig with a barquentine outboard are tied along the quay at Eden Quay, near the Custom House. In the background, on the left, is the Northumberland Hotel, built in the 1820s. Reverse has been annotated in pencil by Admiral Ballard in 1934: 'Greenwich', which is incorrect.
The original negative for this original print is held at the National Science And Media Museum, Science Museum Collection, reference: 1937-1969.
