A small sailing boat alongside a short pier dried out at Swansea

A whole plate size salted paper print. A port bow view of a small single-masted cutter-rigged boat dried out alongside a short stone pier at Swansea. The boat is being kept upright by a timber placed vertically under the rigging channel onto the shingle beach. Small rowing boats are on the beach with a larger dumb barge(?) off the stern of the boat. Ships can be seen lining the banks of the River Tawe in the background.

Reverse has been annotated in pencil by Admiral Ballard in 1934: 'Swansea'
