The Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805: 'Redoutable', 'Temeraire' and 'Fougueux'

One of a group of drawings showing the 'Redoutable', 'Temeraire' and 'Fougueux's locked together in action (see also PAD8776, PAD8778, PAD8779). This is inscribed 'Redoutable Temeraire Le Fougeux' under the ships and shows the action after the mainmast of the 'Fougueux' has collapsed across the 'Temeraire'. The ship on the right may be the 'Victory' (see PAD8782) Exhibited: NMM Pocock exhib. (1975) no. 101.
