A distant stern view of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Montclare (1922) at anchor in a Norwegian fjord. Two of the ships' lifeboats are shuttling passengers to the shore in the foreground. the carvel built motor lifeboat number 12 is lashed alongside a clinker built rowing lifeboat and both are fully laden. Another pair of boats is returning to the ship which has accommodation ladders rigged to shell doors on both sides of the hull.
