On board the boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) working off Sembawang, Singapore. The photographer is looking aft and up at the foremast from the bow. She has a three flag hoist and the daymark for being at anchor on her port yardarm. The 'not under control' daymark is displayed on the starboard side of the mast. Note her windvane is in the shape of a Bar class vessel with a sailcloth tail. Negatives numbers P99801 to P99847 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
