The boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) off Sembawang, Singapore

A port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) moored off Sembawang, Singapore. She is connected to an heavy duty chain hauled up from the bottom and has a thin line out astern. She has a three flag hoist and the daymark for being at anchor on her port yardarm. The 'not under control' daymark is displayed on the starboard side of the mast. Her pendant number is P201 and she has her crest on her funnel. Negatives numbers P99801 to P99847 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
