On board the boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) working off Sembawang, Singapore. The photographer is looking down from the port side of the round-down showing four lengths of heavy duty chain attached to a single ring which is attached to another length of chain from a mooring buoy. The chains have been hauled up over the round-down on deck for maintenance. Negatives numbers P99801 to P99847 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
