A starboard side view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) working off Sembawang, Singapore. Her kedge anchor is hauled up against her stern bulwark, her pendant number is P201, her crest is displayed on her funnel and she has a three flag hoist and the daymark for being at anchor on her port yardarm. The 'not under control' daymark is displayed on the starboard side of the mast. She has a slight list to starboard and is hauling in a heavy mooring chain over her bow. The 'Round Table' class logistic landing ship Sir Bedivere (1966), pendant L3004, is alongside the quay in the right background and another Bar class boom defence vessel is on the left. Negatives numbers P99801 to P99847 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
