A starboard broadside view of the boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) working off Sembawang, Singapore. Her kedge anchor is hauled up against her stern bulwark, her pendant number is P201, her crest is displayed on her funnel and she has a three flag hoist and the daymark for being at anchor on her port yardarm. The 'not under control' daymark is displayed on the starboard side of the mast. She has a slight list to starboard and is hauling in a heavy mooring chain over her bow.
