A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the boom defence vessel Barbain (1940) working off Sembawang, Singapore. She is hauling in an heavy duty mooring chain for maintenance. She has a three flag hoist and the daymark for being at anchor on her port yardarm. The 'not under control' daymark is displayed on the starboard side of the mast. She has a slight list to starboard. Her pendant number is P201 and her motor cutter is alongside the rope ladder amidships. Her crest is displayed on the funnel. Negatives numbers P99801 to P99847 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
