A very close starboard beam view of the top of the sail and the periscope standards of the United States Navy nuclear powered submarine Scorpion (1959) stopped in the Firth of Clyde while the boat carrying the photographer is alongside. Commander N Bessac is standing on the starboard fin greeting Wettern with a friendly hand gesture. Negatives numbers PM7455/1A to PM7460/37A inclusive were taken on the same day.
