On board the United States Navy nuclear powered submarine Scorpion (1959) under way in the Holy Loch. The photographer is looking aft from the fin on the port side of the sail showing some of the crew on the lined up on the aft deck as the boat manoeuvres to come alongside the submarine tender Proteus (1942). There is slight camera movement resulting in a slightly unsharp image. Negatives numbers PM7455/1A to PM7460/37A inclusive were taken on the same day.
