On board the Royal Navy type 81 general purpose frigate Ashanti (1959) under way on the Thames heading upstream from Gravesend to the Pool of London. The ship is in Greenwich Reach passing the Royal Naval College and the photographer is looking at two Royal Marine buglers positioned on the port side sounding the still. Negatives numbers PM7461/12A to PM7464/35A inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
