On board the Royal Navy type 81 general purpose frigate Ashanti (1959) under way on the Thames heading upstream from Gravesend to the Pool of London. The ship is in the Upper Pool and the photographer is on the starboard side of the bridge roof looking aft and up showing the type 993 radar tower in the foreground and the mast and the Type 965 AKE1 aerial at its head. The ship is moving astern under Tower Bridge. Negatives numbers PM7461/12A to PM7464/35A inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
