On board the fast patrol boat Brave Borderer (1958) under way at speed at sea. The photographer is looking forward from the rear of the starboard side of the bridge showing a rating standing in the forward starboard corner. He is wearing a weatherproof anorak with the hood down. The right arm of the commanding officer, a Royal Navy lieutenant, is on the left of the picture. Negatives numbers PM7465/2 to PM7470/31 inclusive were taken on the same deployment. Between 18 May and 3 June 1961 the ship cruised to Copenhagen and Danish waters returning via Kiel and the Hook of Holland. Between 19 June and 9 July 1961 she was on a Rhine cruise.
