Knot collection
A hinged wooden case containing examples of sennits, knots, splices and tackles in everyday use at sea. The case has three leaves attached by brass hinges and clasps. The knots are made in hemp and cotton cord and mounted with copper pins. The display includes model blocks and cleats in wood, with brass hooks and eyes. The inscriptions are in black enamel paint.
