The photographer is looking aft from 70 feet up on the foremast showing the aft end of the ship while the ship is heading into a steep running sea. Her quarterdeck is almost awash and the canvas cover on her starboard whaler is missing. The two single 40mm bofors guns ahead of the mainmast are cocooned. A vertical format negative.
