The ocean weather ship Weather Reporter (1944) in the James Watt Dock, Greenock

A port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the ocean weather ship Weather Reporter (1944) berthed alongside in the James Watt Dock, Greenock. She is fitted with her original masthead radar and topmast whereas the weather ship berthed outboard has a later radar and no topmast. The ship sailed from Greenock at 10.00 on Tuesday 6th (February or March) 1962 for a 24 day deployment in the North Atlantic.
