On board the ocean weather ship Weather Reporter (1944) in the James Watt Dock, Greenock. The photographer is looking forward and to port from the starboard side of the bridge deck as the ship moves slowly ahead, bound out for her Atlantic station. The ship sailed from Greenock at 10.00 on Tuesday 6th (February or March) 1962 for a 24 day deployment. In the left background is the Scott's Shipbuilding and Engineering Co Ltd shipyard.
