On board the ocean weather ship Weather Reporter (1944) under way off Greenock. The photographer is looking forward and to port from the port side of the bridge deck as the ship moves ahead, bound out for her Atlantic station. Only an aerial of the ship is in the picture. Off her port bow and seen from fine off the starboard quarter is the Royal Fleet Auxiliary harbour oiler Rowanol (1946) at anchor. The Weather Reporter (1944) sailed from Greenock at 10.00 on Tuesday 6th (February or March) 1962 for a 24 day deployment.
