The Battle of the Glorious First of June, 1794; plan of the action

This plan shows the height of the action with the two flagships, 'Queen Charlotte' and 'Montagne', on the far right. The plan depicts the battle at about the point that the 'Montagne' was able to disengage from having shot away the foretop of the ‘Queen Charlotte’. The 'Brunswick' and 'Vengeur du Peuple' are closely engaged just to their left. The British frigates are in the top right corner, with Pocock's abbreviated note attached to 'Pegasus' (Captain Barlow) as 'repeating Queen Charlotte's Signals'. Many of Pocock's drawings of the action can be orientated with regard to this plan, since he was an eyewitness to it from on board the 'Pegasus'.
