Table of flags worn by British ships at the Battle of Camperdown, 11 October 1797
Pocock presumably had this table for use in doing paintings of the battle, as he had for the Battle of 1 June 1794 (see PAD8871) and may have done for other major actions. That said, and though it comes from a group of drawings apparently from his studio, the style and hand-writing suggests it was probably in this case supplied to him by someone in Duncan's fleet since such tables were necessary for operational reasons. This one is on two sheets, the other being PAD8873.
