A port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary fleet replenishment ship Tidepool (1962) anchored in Cromarty Firth. Her pendant number is A76. The photographer is on board the Royal Navy light cruiser Tiger (1945) and the ships are together to participate in the NATO exercise Flat Rock. The Tiger (1945) was the flagship of Vice-Admiral F R Twiss who commanded a fleet of 46 ships drawn from six NATO nations for the exercise which took place in the waters off Cape Wrath and Loch Ewe between 16 and 24 October 1963.
