The escorts for the light cruiser Tiger (1945) which is leading the NATO fleet to sea from Cromarty Firth
A distant view of some of the NATO escorts formed up off the starboard side of the light cruiser Tiger (1945) on departure from Cromarty Firth for the NATO exercise Flat Rock. The escorts include the Royal Navy frigate Berwick (1959) and the Royal Navy destroyer Decoy (1949). The Tiger (1945) was the flagship of Vice-Admiral F R Twiss who commanded a fleet of 46 ships drawn from six NATO nations for the exercise which took place in the waters off Cape Wrath and Loch Ewe between 16 and 24 October 1963.
