A port bow view of the French Navy destroyer Chevalier Paul (1953) under way in the North Atlantic, taken from on board the Royal Navy light cruiser Tiger (1945), while off north-west Scotland during the NATO exercise Flat Rock. The bow of the destroyer is out of the picture and her pendant number is D626. She is approaching the Tiger (1945) to carry out the jackstay transfer of Vice-Admiral Twiss. The Tiger (1945) was the flagship of Vice-Admiral F R Twiss who commanded a fleet of 46 ships drawn from six NATO nations for the exercise which took place in the waters off Cape Wrath and Loch Ewe.
