A port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Royal Navy aircraft carrier Albion (1947) alongside Middle Slip Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard. Her island superstructure is surrounded by scaffolding and she is near the end of her conversion from light fleet carrier to commando carrier. Her pendant number is R07. Everything forward of the island is out of the picture. The forepart of the destroyer Jutland (1946) can be seen alongside Sheer Jetty on the right. Her pendant number is D62 and everything aft of 'B' turret is out of the picture. The horizon is not level.
