On board the coastal minelayer Plover (1937) under way during a minelaying exercise in Stokes Bay, The Solent. The photographer is on the port side of the forecastle looking aft and up showing the wheelhouse above the bridge deck. An RDF frame aerial is fitted to the front of the bridge deck and a signalling lamp is on the bridge wing.
