A port near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Montrose (1922) at anchor in an unknown location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has strings of bunting at the foremast and the mainmast. The Blue Peter is flying from the top of the foremast. Awnings are rigged over her aft promenade decks and a rope ladder is hanging over the stern rail with a small boat at the foot of the ladder.
