On board the nuclear powered passenger/cargo ship Savannah (1962) in the English Channel

On board the nuclear powered passenger/cargo ship Savannah (1962) while under way in the English Channel. The photographer is in a large office space equipped with a central island of 30 filing drawers in ten stacks of three, on top of which are piles of files. Against the side bulkhead is a long fitted unit of cupboards and drawers with shelves above and a few items of electrical equipment. A large coil of cable is on the deck and three men are working in the space. Negatives numbers PM7624/36 and PM7624/37 are other views of this space which may be the purser's office. Wettern sailed on the Savannah (1962) between Dublin, leaving on 6 July and Southampton, arriving 7 July 1964.
