On board the nuclear powered passenger/cargo ship Savannah (1962) while under way in the English Channel. The photographer is in the passengers' dining room on B deck showing the tables laid ready for a meal. A stainless steel model of the Savannah (1818), the first steamship to cross the Atlantic, is in a glass case at the end of the room. Negative number PM7627/7 is also of this space. Wettern sailed on the Savannah (1962) between Dublin, leaving on 6 July and Southampton, arriving 7 July 1964.
